Chamelaucium
Known affectionately as the Geraldton Wax, this Western Australian native is the "everlasting" star of the shrub world. Its name comes from the thick, waxy texture of its blooms, which feel almost as if they were sculpted from candle wax. In its homeland, these hardy shrubs create shimmering seas of pink and white against the rugged landscape, proving that beauty can be incredibly resilient.
The Geraldton Wax is a superstar in the global floral industry. Because of the waxy coating on the petals, the flowers can stay fresh in a vase for up to three weeks, making them one of the longest-lasting cut flowers in the world!
