Rosa Obtusifolia
Often referred to as the Round-leaved Dog Rose, this wild beauty is a charming, untamed cousin of the classic garden rose. Primarily found weaving through the ancient hedgerows of Europe, it creates a romantic, "secret garden" aesthetic with its arching branches and delicate blossoms. It is a symbol of resilience, thriving in the wild long after more delicate cultivars have faded.
The vibrant red "hips" (fruit) that appear in autumn are a biological powerhouse; during World War II, children in the UK were encouraged to harvest wild rose hips like these to be made into syrup, providing a vital source of Vitamin C when citrus fruits were unavailable!

These plant needs regular fertilizing during growing seasons. Fertilizing your plants in dormant state during the winter, might result in scorching or browning of the leaf tips. If mature plants display signs of nutrient insufficiency, fertilizer administration is necessary to restore the plant to its previous state.
